Monterey, California is the central coast and is located on the Monterey Bay. Many years ago, Monterey was famous for its abundance in fish particularly sardines. This all came to an end in 1950 due to over fishing.
Today Cannery Row has taken their historic sites and turned them into tourist attractions with restaurants and shops. Monterey Bay Aquarium is also located at the end of Cannery Row.
